Identifying Documents
To get the best results, you should provide all of your identification documents when you come to the passport office. For example, if you are applying for a passport and you have a driver’s license, you must bring that as well as your birth certificate, marriage license, military ID and any other government issued photo ID.
You may also need to show an additional form of identification if you are a British citizen or have dual citizenship. These can include a proof of residence document or a copy of your birth certificate.
Alternatively, you can apply for a passport online and send us a print out of your completed application to save time. This is the most secure way to get your passport and is recommended if you are planning a trip abroad.
Business Cover Letter
If you are travelling as a businessman or for a company, it is recommended to include a Business Cover Letter in your application. This should introduce you, describe your business and the purpose of your visit to Indonesia. It should be signed by a company officer with contact details included. It should also include a financial statement indicating you have sufficient funds to support yourself during your stay in Indonesia and a letter from your employer confirming that you will be on a leave of absence while you are there.
It is also helpful to have three bank statements, showing that you have enough money to cover your expenses while in Indonesia. It is advisable to have them in originals, although a print out of an online statement will be accepted as long as the information is complete and legible.
A letter from your sponsor or host organization confirming that you will be traveling on their behalf is also helpful. The letter should be signed by an officer at the organization and contain information such as your name, address, occupation, date and duration of the visit to Indonesia, and the name and contact details of your host company in Indonesia.
